A ‘live’ Webcast means a real-time broadcast via the Internet, of predetermined digital media to a pre-defined audience on a specific time and day.

Consider a live Webcast as the equivalent of an in-person event, where there are presenters ranging from one to an entire panel of experts.

In-person events require a high level of preparation and can accommodate usually anywhere from a small group to a few thousand people (if you’re lucky to find a venue that large). Webcasting is an online version of that same in-person type of meeting, except the video is streamed via the Internet and a dial-in conference call bridge provides the live audio.
