CommPartners' Charities

CommPartners believes in giving back to the community as much as possible, especially to local non-profits near our corporate headquarters.

Below are some highlights from our community outreach efforts:

A local synagogue, Columbia Jewish Congregation, was in need of a new Web site. We did just that, and we're providing the Web Donated Web Design & Hostinghosting services and ongoing site maintenance. The site is still under review (it's not officially 'live' on the Internet yet), but click the image to enlarge for a sneak peek.

We're also doing home repairs to help one of the elderly members of the congregation, who is in danger of being evicted from her home due to problems up keeping her property.

Web Design & e-marketingCommPartners has long-supported the Domestic Violence Center of Howard County, Maryland. Each year, we sponsor a table for their Hope Gala and support their other fund-raising events. We also donate our time, including pro bono design services for their e-marketing efforts, such as this Web site design.

Each year, CommPartners underwrites the materials costs to renovate a home of a family in need, through the Christmas (Sukkot) in April program, sponsored by Yachad (the Jewish Housing and Community Development Corporation of Greater Washington) and the national charity Rebuilding Together.

In addition to our corporate donation, our staff annually makes substantial personal monetary contributions and participates in the rebuilding effort. The 2006 build was on April 30.

Here’s a great example of how our work for this great cause is making a difference. In 2003, CommPartners joined volunteers from Columbia Jewish Congregation to replace windows, build a pantry, construct up a wall, paint outside and in, landscape, clean, and install new light fixtures, to restore the home of an extremely grateful widow.

House captain Richard Finstein [co-founder of CommPartners] summed up the feelings of most volunteers: "Sukkot in April was an exhausting, but wonderful, experience."

Web site designIn addition, in 2005, CommPartners donated costs (and talent) to redesign the Yachad Web site.

Browse their site to read other stories (other than CommPartners' dedicated volunteers!) about how Yachad volunteers “are changing the world house by house and neighborhood by neighborhood…”
